Easy styling for any hair length – 3 x 2-minute styles

17 August 2023
Close your laptop and head outside. Summer is beckoning and the last days of summer beg to be embraced. School is just around the corner and that can be stressful! No need to sob, our styling tips are suitable for both mom and child!

Style 1 - Hair in your face

Hair in your face Pinit
Whether it’s a bike ride in the fields, ice cream in the afternoon or the first day of school. Hair tends to constantly get in the face, and that can be quite annoying. With this easy style, sweaty ponies are a thing of the past.

For whom is the look suitable?
  • Long hair
  • Medium length hair
  • Short hair with long top of head
  • Adult bangs fringe

Here's how:
  1. Divide the frontal region of your hair into two equal triangles on each side of your middle parting.
  2. Braid both strands separately and tie each with a small silicone elastic.
  3. Bring the two braids together in front of the face and connect them with another silicone rubber band.
  4. Next part the hair on top of the head and pin it with a clip. The size of the parting depends on the length of the braids.
  5. Now place the braids together over the top of the head and behind the top parting.
  6. Detach the hair at the top of the head. Let it fall over the braids and the hairstyle is ready.

Style 2 - voluminous ponytail

No matter what you try, your braid always looks a bit unspectacular? How nice would it be if it had more volume and your hair looked fuller? No problem with this simple hairstyle.

For whom is the look suitable?
  • Long hair
  • Medium length hair (here you can also comb out part of the hair at the nape of the neck, so that the look resembles a chignon).

Here's how:
  1. Take two hair bands and divide the back of your hair at eyebrow level into top of head and nape/side sections.
  2. Divide the two sections into one pony each. The two ponytails should lie on top of each other at the back of the head.
  3. Slightly loosen the top ponytail and flip it from top to bottom over the tie. This creates a small twist, which increases the style’s durability.
  4. Now take the bottom ponytail and pull it through the top ponytail (from the bottom to the top) behind the top ponytail hair band.
  5. Tighten the two hair bands one more time and you're done.

Style 3 - Easy Fake Braid

You and your kids love braids, but you're not a master braider? Then this look is your best friend.

Who is this look suitable for?
  • Long hair with few strands

Here's how:
  1. Take your hair to one side into a ponytail and tie the hair loosely around it at the base.
  2. Divide the large ponytail into two equal parts with two more small hair ties.
  3. Push the hair tie of the first braid down a bit and separate the hair in the middle between the hair ties.
  4. Now push the back ponytail through.
  5. Pull the hair band of the looped ponytail a little tighter.
  6. Repeat the process alternately until you reach the end of the hair.
  7. Remove the two small hair bands and tie the braid at the bottom.
  8. Now you can loosen the big hair tie at the base. The look is finished.

All hairstyles can be spiced up with small accessories - bows, barrettes, even glitter for festivals or simply to stand out on the first day of school ;). Completely individual, as it suits you, your outfit, and your summer mood.
